Holy Week Prayers: Sunday

Mark 14:3-9

Compassionate and Merciful God, we confess that we are quick to judge in situations we don’t understand.  We confess that we do not see the big picture, but focus only on what is immediately in front of us.  We confess that we do not give our all, we hold back, we do not give our best.  Forgive us, we pray.  Give us patience, compassion, and open-mindedness to believe what we do not see.  Give us insight to see the world through your eyes.  Inspire in us a generous spirit to replace our fearfulness that we may please you by meeting the needs of others as your faithful witnesses.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Written collaboratively during CrossTraining, April 1, 2012.
